Dust off your antiques for valuation Day
Date Published : 04 September 2010
Bosses at Walsall Leather Museum are inviting Walsall residents to an event in September with a difference.
Dust down your antiques, family heirlooms, toys and collectables for a free Antiques Valuation Day on Friday 10 September 2010 on behalf of Birmingham based auctioneers Biddle and Webb.
The Birmingham based firm will be providing a free valuation service from the museum between 10am and 2pm.
Biddle and Webb have been auctioneers in Birmingham and the West Midlands for over 50 years. As a well-known and respected business, the team hold between 9 and 12 auctions every month involving antiques, fine art, pictures, silver, jewellery including pawnbroker unredeemed pledge sale, toys, militaria, collectable and general clearance items.
Mike Glasson, museum curator at Walsall Leather Museum said: "You can often be surprised to find out that what's been enwrapped in a old newspaper which has been languishing in an attic for many years is actually worth a few bob.
"We hope to see lots of people come along and a surprise or two!"
