Integrated young people's support service
Integrated Young People's Support Services (IYPSS)
IYPSS integrated three principle services, previously identified as Connexions, Youth Offending Service and Youth Service. These services no longer exist.
We now have one fully Integrated Young People’s Support Services (IYPSS).
The core IYPSS offer focuses on:
- Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
- Positive Activities/Youth work
- Targeted Youth Support and Youth Justice Services
- Young People’s Active Involvement
IYPSS is configured around three footprints, each of which exactly matches the boundaries of two of the six Area Partnerships.
Each footprint has an:
- IAG team
- Positive Activities team
- Targeted Youth Support team
This reflects the IYPSS offer. The IYPSS offer in each footprint is managed by a strategic lead.
West footprint
Tim Luker is the Strategic Lead for IAG and is responsible for the West footprint (Willenhall/Short Heath/Darlaston/Bentley).
North footprint
Claire Dhami is the Strategic Lead for Targeted Youth Support and Youth Justice Services and is responsible for the North footprint (Bloxwich/Blakenall/Birchills/Leamore and Brownhills/Rushall-Shelfield/Pelsall).
South and East footprint
Isabel Vanderheeren is the Strategic Lead for Positive Activities and Youth Work and is responsible for the South and East footprint (Streetly/Pheasey/Aldridge/Walsall Wood/St Matthews/Palfrey/Paddock/Pleck).
