The health and fitness team are responsible for developing and implementing projects and initiatives that help to increase activity levels to benefit the physical, social and mental health of local people.
We initiate and manage projects which enhance and promote activity and well being within Walsall, establishing wherever possible partnership funding and working. Close links are maintained with the Healthy Weight Team at NHS Walsall to develop primary prevention strategies and networks within Walsall.
Within Walsall the health and fitness team provide a variety of specialised programmes for adults which take place at a number of community venues across the borough These programmes range from individual advice services , to specialised exercise sessions for people with cardiac problems to people who suffer or are at risk of falling.
In order to access alot of the programmes delivered, adults generally pass through the time to change programme initially.Time to change is Walsall’s free individual exercise advice and support service for adults, so whatever your current activity level and/or fitness interest we are sure we have something for you.
