A34 Red Route - latest news
This page will keep you informed concerning current and recent roadworks on the A34 Red Route/Route 301 Bus Showcase project.
This page will tell you what works are currently happening and where. This will allow you to better plan the timing and route of your journeys to help minimise potential inconvenience. To receive this information direct to your email account or by following Walsall Council on Twitter, follow the links at the bottom of this page.
Update structure
This page will show the following information:
- a brief description of the nature of the works
- an approximate works' start date
- an approximate works' finish date
- a brief description of the impact, if any, that the works will have on traffic
Please be aware that updates near the top of the page are more recent and those further down are older. Once a particular update is out of date by approximately one month it will be removed from the page.
Update 4 - A34 Red Route - A34-A4124 works to traffic signals
Works will begin in January 2011 to realign the junction, install new traffic signals and create three pedestrian reservations on High Street, Lichfield Road and Stafford Road.
- Start date: Monday 10 January 2011
- Finish date: Spring 2011
- Road traffic impact: details of the likely impact upon road traffic will be amended and updated regularly on this web page. Much of the work can be done in such a way that will allow two way traffic lights to operate. Therefore there should be no more than moderate disruption created by the works.
